Arbor Day Celebration

In honor of Arbor Day, Mayor Lewis dedicated three trees at Camp Frances along with Police Chief Lisa Sherman, Director of Public Works Amy Gilson, City Clerk Ginger Terpstra, other city employees and Camp Frances board members Mary Hall, Brenda Bly, Julie Shaver, Barb Vandermolen, and Chris Reist. Thank you for the City Employees for planting the trees and Trees and Scapes for mulching and staking the trees. Thank you everyone who took part in the ceremony. Refreshments by the board of Camp Frances.

It was an honor to have 3 new Hawthorn trees planted at Camp Frances on April, 28, 2017, Arbor Day. The trees will add an interesting appeal to the Walnut Groove out the back door of Camp. We understand that song birds are quite drawn to the Hawthorn trees. Thank you to Amy Gilson and Tom Archer for considering and choosing what would be best for “our Yard “
